URDMC, in a consortium led by War Child Alliance, has successfully implemented the LIFESPAN (Life Saving Protection Assistance for Refugees Needs in Uganda) project, funded by the Uganda Humanitarian Fund.
Over the past six months in Kiryandongo settlement, the project provided cash for protection assistance and psychosocial support to refugee children and host communities. Designed to strengthen protection and resilience, LIFESPAN prioritized addressing the immediate needs of children at risk while promoting accountability, inclusion, and sustainable impact.
We are proud of the incredible progress made so far in ensuring that the needs of children at risk in clusters B, C, D, and E are met. To date, 859 children at risk have been supported across clusters B, C, D, and E of Kiryandongos settlement, and 2,400 children have been reached through the TeamUp methodology to address their psychosocial needs.
